Our hair can cause us many problems; whether we have straight, curly, frizzy or dull hair. Well-known stylists have come together to share with you the following secrets to have beautiful hair in every situation including while exercising or going to an important business meeting.
1. Add extra bounce by using hairspray
Stylist Lily Campbell from New York City gives the following suggestion: Lift the hair up from the head, being able to access the root of your hair. Spray the roots with hairspray. To reach the roots better roll the hair around a round brush and spray the roots. Hold till dry. The end result is extra volume in your hair.
2. Avoid static but preventing it from appearing
Gabriel Samra, hair stylist from Miami says the best way to avoid frizzy hair is lightly run aluminum foil over your hair, once you have applied the hair spray.
3. After drying your hair, try this to wake up each morning with a hairstyle
Tie the back of your hair, use a cloth tie instead of the rubber hair tie, as they tend to leave a ripple in the hair. Before going to bed, split your hair in several sections and twist each section with your fingers and tie them up loosely. This easy trick helps avoid your hair knotting while you are sleeping, meanwhile leaving your hair with pretty, loose wavy curls.
4. Don’t rush to wash your hair immediately after exercising
Take advantage of the natural salt produced by sweating it out during your workout. After going to the gym, pass your fingers though your hair while using the hairdryer. This helps to produce wavy curls, the same result that can be achieved by using a spray that contains sea salt.
5. It is not necessary to have wet hair to use a non-rinse conditioner
Just simply apply your product to dry hair to help control your frizzy hair and at the same time adding volume and shine. This is an ideal protection against environmental humidity.
6. Are you sensitive to hair dye?
The easy solution: Mix it with an artificial sweetener. If you find your scalp itches or burns while the hair dye is applied, next time try this simple solution. Just add a little bit of artificial sweetener in the dye mixture according to stylist Janiery Nunez from New York. This helps to neutralize the dye’s acidity and avoid damaging your scalp while applying the dye.
7. Use the right brush
Each brush has different designs and of course has a different use. For example, a flexible wide toothcomb is ideal for detangling hair and avoiding knots but at the same time, it can brush large amount hair quickly. Fine toothbrushes are wonderful for teasing your hair from the root, adding volume.
Nobody knows your hair better than you, but I hope this list of suggestions will help you take better care of your hair and keep it looking fabulous. They have given me excellent results!
